Filming Story!

Hey! I just came back from shooting the final fake execution scene of my project! and let me tell you, it went great! Shooting this scene was definitely a long journey, could honestly just make a film about how we got to the place to film in the first place (it was that enthralling). I'll go through it...

Going into this shoot, I knew the place where I was going to film this was in the middle of absolutely nowhere, I mean, it wasn't traceable on the map apps on my iPhone, and it was kind of in a sketchy area.

Map my friend drew to get to the location

The closes place to the lot was this community called Isles of Weston, and then, we had to go past the community and park on a patch of grass outside this place called the "sokka Buddhist reservation", getting to the place and then guided all of my crew there was a HASSLE. However, there were barricades on the road we were trying to pass by, and we had to walk the ENTIRE way in scorching South Florida heat, the place was completely abandoned as well. My crew DESPISED this, I mean, I was really getting it that day for taking them in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Furthermore, as we approached this field, we started filming; I think the shots we got were worth the trip there.

The Art of Cinematography.

The shots came out really well at the end of the day and we got some GREAT footage. However, my crew didn't think it was worth it, especially since they had to drive and walk while it was extremely hot, but hey, we got the shot.

All in All, it was a pretty successful filming day, now all I have to get is that one-and-a-half-minute tracking shot, and then I'm done with filming.
